100 DRAWINGS DRAWING CHALLENGE #4 - DARK

I was originally going to make the central theme of this picture 'Blood', with Snake saying, "Otacon, can you hear me? I'm hit" and thus Snake is clutching at a bullet wound in his side, but then I started to focus more on the shadows and lighting and thought, what the hell? Just roll with it.

So here we are!

Now I know there are lots of errors and if anyone wants to give me some pointers on anything (anatomy, colouring, blending, light sources etc) I'd really love to hear them! Also, this is the first picture drawn with my very own Bamboo tablet! I decided to buy myself one instead of lending friends' ones and ones from school. ^^

Anyhoo, image drawn by hand then scanned in and painted/coloured in Photoshop CS2.

I am really loving the way you shaded his leg, and there's a lot of really nice detail in his clothes.
Though, his hands are a bit wonky.

Yeah, I know - those damn hands! The whole thing is a lot more simplified than I would have hoped for something like this but I'm still happy with the outcome. Thanks! :wave:

Alright, the right leg was shaded wrongly, in my opinion. The darkest shade should have been reserved for the sole of his sock/shoe thingo. Right now it looks like its twisted backwards.

Just my opinion. :)

Woo HOO!! Sez' one of one hundred kicked off! :w00t:

Looks pretty cooal too! Just lookin' at the dark shades of this picture makes me hear the MGS1 hanger music (gritty) along with a "tap tap" sound of foot steps!

Way to use that PS CS2 program! :thumbsup:
